Using a Cat5 Cable

Cat5 cable is a twisted type of cable. These cables are balanced cables and are stored in a single jacket. The cat 5 cables are considered to be highly reliable cables as they transmit the signal at a high integrity level. As the lines are balanced, they ensure that there is high signal to noise ratio.
This is in spite of the fact there are external devices and the internal interferences to create disturbances. There is also the interference from other pairs and it is known as the crosstalk. The installation of cat 5 cables requires that the measurement of the cable is taken more than once so that there are no mistakes committed.  Extra precaution taken is never harmful but there is always a benefit from this precaution. It may result in saving some money that may have been wasted if you have taken the wrong measurement and cut the cat 5 cables. The cat 5 cable that is already cut may not be usable in future times and therefore it may be rendered useless just because it is not the required length.
If the cat 5 cable is cut to be used in a network, measuring it twice before cutting will save a lot of time and effort as well. To overcome the chances of cutting the cat5 cable is to use a hub and spoke configuration and the process has been in use ever since the routers were launched about twenty years ago.
